Cat Stevens and The Subterraneans
I recently saw Cat’s portfolio and it is one of the few I have seen this year that has really stuck in my mind.
She based a project around Jack Kerouac’s “The Subterraneans”; a beautiful and honest novella written by Kerouac in just two days. I loved the book and so I love Cat’s story!

Artwords
When I have time to waste, I head down to Artwords Bookshop on Broadway Market. It specializes in books, magazines and videos on visual contemporary art. I can end up spending stupid amounts of time and money with each visit!

David Denny
David Denny’s photography has an intrinsic sensitivity about it. I find the shot for Amnesty International a little bit heartbreaking…

ADVANCED STYLE
This is the first thing ever that has made me look forward to getting old. Now that’s special! This is a trailer for a documentary by Lina Pliyoplyte, a young NY based director for whom I predict big things… Love it. Can’t wait to see the full documentary.
I know…
that Kate Moss and Johnny Depp circa 1990 something photos are splashed all over the place… but I just don’t think I will ever tire of them!

Lucozade Sport & The Rain Machine
These are the Lucozade Sport shots we worked on with Josh Cole. The first two (Ashley Young and Phillips Idowu) were produced by my colleague, then up cropped the opportunity to shoot Mo Farah. I produced this second one and had to match the rainy look (it rained on the first shoot day) so I organised to have a rain machine on set… Turns out rain machines are a total nightmare. Lesson learned.

MELT
I need to get me to a Nordic country soon… Take a look at some amazing icebergs shot in Greenland by Simon Harsent.

The behind the scenes video for the shoot I produced with the British cycling team’s Geraint Thomas for Fiat. The is the first of a series of shoots I have produced for Fiat and the British cycling team… all shot by Hamish Brown.
Deep South
Sally Mann is one of my all time favourite photographers and for some reason I have never laid eyes on her landscape work. Here are some of her landscape shots capturing the “radical light of the American South” mostly produced with the 19th century collodion process. Etherial, haunting and beautiful.

Wrangler - We Are Animals
This is what happens when brands give advertising agencies free reign to do what they like… 3 rounds of award winning ads as part of one campaign, bringing photography and spontaneity to the fore.
